Sisterhood Of The World Bloggers Award

Thank you VERY MUCH to Roo who nominated me so long ago, she may have even forgotten! Sorry it took so long Roo. You know how life gets. Busy busy busy.

Rules

- Thank the one who nominated you.
- Post the logo on blog.
- Answer ten questions.
- Nominate ten Bloggers.
- Ask them ten questions.

1. Who’s your favorite superhero?
It used to be Jubilee from the X-Men, until I realised I didn't know very much about her. I'd probably say Wolverine, although in terms of females I'm not even sure if I have a favourite anymore. I'll probably make my own (Moon and Lane). My favourite superhero OUTFIT is Donna Troy's. =D

2. C.S. Lewis or J.R.R. Tolkien?
I actually prefer Lord Of The Rings in general to The Chronicles Of Narnia, so Tolkien. However. I have read TCoN, and seen the film The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe but not liked it. Also I have seen every film in LOTR and THobbit series but *embarrassed* not actually read the books yet. I haven't had a chance to visit my sister and borrow her series.

3. What’s your favorite animal?

CAT! CAT CAT CAT. I lub them. So. Much. Ironically I only have one cat plush toy but I have three dog plush toys =/

4. What song do you listen to the most right now?
Oooo that's a convenient question! I just got a whole new bunch of music.
  • I have realised that I have fallen in love with Sam's Smith's voice. Such a beautiful voice. <3
  • Now you See Me Spellbound Remix by Brian Tyler (Now You See Me Soundtrack, Electronica)
  • Run Boy Run by Woodkid (Divergent OST. Er... tribal alternative music?)
  • Miles Away by Masspike Miles (R&B)
  • I've hunted down yet more Touhou tracks (they are honestly never-ending) and I love Imperishable Night Stage 5 Theme - Cinderella Cage.
  • I was watching videos on illustration tutorials, and one video played this AMAZING retro sounding Zelda OoT/MM mash-up, and having played that game so many times I just had to get the music from FlashyGoodness (It's track 3. It says if you put in $0, you can get a free download! That made it even better, cuz I'm kinda broke. =D )
  • Oh! The Edge Of The Earth by Switchfoot. Amazing!

5. How long have you been blogging for, and did you have a plan for the blog when you started?
I've been blogging since 2011, so about 3 years. The plan was to cultivate my own "proper"writing style as I was afraid I'd picked up bad writing habits from fanfiction forums. THIS blog is only a year old! It's a baby :3 Thankfully it succeeded n refocusing me, as my other blog started to veer off track.

6. Cake or pie? (This question is serious business, everybody >:| )
...... oh my worddddd. Um... generally speaking, I prefer a cake. But it really does depend because I'll put apple pie and custard over ANY cake. Most other pies... no.

7. What month/time of year do you feel the most creative in?
(Is that a real question?!) I feel creative all the time! XD I never feel uninspired, so it just builds up and up because I get more ideas than I know what to do with. More stress comes from not having the time to write. Oh well!

8. Tea, coffee, or just water?
TEA! OMgsh, TEA! I love organic Pukka tea right now. Lemon, ginger and manuka honey =D now THAT is the flavour to be havin'.

9. If you could instantly learn one language, what would it be?
Japanese, because I've been learning it for a year already and it's going really slow. Even though I enjoy it and I'm learning quite a bit, with all the overtime I work I struggle to find time to practice throughout the week. However, I know I will learn Japanese eventually, so in that case I'd say French, because French is my lingual nemesis.

10. Did you smile today? Better yet, did you make someone smile today?
I smiled when I woke up at the prospect of getting a lot of work done today. Now it's the end of the day and the dismal results are clear to see, I feel miserable and moody. I did make someone smile today, but I think it was out of pity. I think I embarrassed myself. I just don't even want to think about it anymore. This is why I've been in bed all day.

... hey, I smiled just now, actually, at the question about cats! I just, *sigh* I just, adore.

My 10 questions =D

1. Who's your favourite author?
2. What's the best thing about blogging?
3. How many books do you own?
4. What's the last movie you saw?
5. Okay, important question... tomato sauce, or barbecue sauce?
6.  What skill do you really want to learn or wish you had?
7. How many different types of social media do you have? (it counts if both are owned by the same company. Blogger and Google + still counts as 2.)
8. Do you have a (secret..?) talent or quirk (or in my case OCD) that surprises other people?
9. What's your dream job?
10. What was the last thing you made or did that you're proud of?

I put this picture because London is so grey right now, I think it's actually making me ill. I don't think I have S.A.D. Just a touch of Crazy.

    1. You're welcome - have fun doing the questions! And you're welcome to post the link here when you're done.
I know. I KNOW. Cats pictures and videos can make a whole day go by. >.<

  2. I think I will always always pick Wolverine. I JUST LOVE HIM A LOT. Although Jean Grey is awesome. ;-) I love so many superheroes and I'm even being converted to not dislike Captain America so much (eh, I just didn't like him for a long time).
Pie is delicious. Cake is wonderful. Decisions between the two seems rather cruel.
I think I'm pretty inspired all year round too! Except, eh, I don't feel inspired during January. It's just my bleh month. It's too hot here to do anything. >.>

    1. Yep, Wolverine is er, quintessentially awesome heh heh c; Jean Grey is awesome, but some of her storylines across various X-Men comics have been d i s m a l -_- Oh I... still don't like Cap A. I find him so boring =/
XD HAHAHA I can just imagine you trying to fathom that cake/pie question!! Like: '-- ? There must be a choice?'
I must say, I am envious. Januaries in London are cold, miserable, wet, and often without slow or at the very least some slushy mess. ... also until I wrote that sentence, I never thought that January could be a plural. =D well, Google Chrome spell check didn't complain!!

  3. Thanks so much for the nomination! I will be answering the questions soon!
And I definitely prefer J.R.R. Tolkien to C.S. Lewis too. I can only remember reading the first three Chronicles of Narnia books, and I for some reason never read any of the others. I don't know why, because I did enjoy them, just not as much as The Lord of the Rings!

    1. Oh you're welcome. :3
See that's the thing! I read all of Narnia when I was a kid and loved them, and I haven't got round to reading JRR yet (GARGHH my sister said she'd bring the books! She forgot!) and she said The Hobbit was boring. =/ Oh well. It can't be as boring as Jude the Obscure or Heart of Darkness (those bored me to death. I didn't like Wuthering Heights and even that was better than those).
      Heh heh. Thanks for commenting!

  4. Thanks for nominating me! I, for one, enjoy Lord of the Rings a little more than Lewis, even though it took me a while to read them. Honestly, if you stick me in a family function I can read them in eight hours or less but on my own it's a bit harder. The movies are great, too. :) Also, TEA. :)

Again, thanks for nominating me. :D

    1. LOL that is such a good point. Like, whenever I go to my GP I take a tough-ish book because they'll give you a 9.am appointment but won't see you until 9.40. Every time. So I always take the book I'm struggling with and make myself read it! The movies are AMAAAZING. I think I'll actually watch Hobbit Bo5A in the cinema this time.

      You're welcome, thanks for commenting!

  5. Thanks so much for nominating me. Gotta say, I love Wolverine too. And cats versus dogs. Ugh, I can't decide. Dogs are always so pleased to see you, but cats are so snuggly. I couldn't ever choose between them. Tea is the greatest drink! My sister and think we may be a little addicted to it. I just say it's our English heritage coming out.

    1. Aw no problem, have fun with the questions! I know, dogs are loveable in a different way, but my heart always sides with cats. Oh man, I drink sooo muuuch teaaaa o_O There's just so many great flavours to choose from.

  6. Hey!

Thanks for nominating me! I'll be answering the questions soon. I used to love Wolverine, but he's gotten so much attention the past years, now I'm kind of fed up with him. I don't know why, but I've never been into the World of Narnia. The movies never truly caught my interest, so I never cared for the books. I haven't read any of them.

    1. Oh that's true. He has been rinsed out quite a lot! I think his character is strong enough to survive it though, as in, I think he'll still be popular in years to come.
The movies never caught me either. The books might be a bit hard to get into but I think they're worth reading. Thanks for the comment!

  7. Hey! I answered your questions: http://the-carla-diaries.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/sisterhood-of-world-blogger-award.html

You know, I feel like there's actually very few male book blogger, xd. I noticed the other day, that none of blogs I follow are owned by boys, haha.

By the way, my blog isn't called The Carla Diaries anymore but A French Girl On The Road, lol. I didn't change my url, though.

    1. Okay, I just read the answers!! Great post, I super enjoyed that. Thanks for posting the link back here.

I follow a few blogs by guys, some of those being authors whose books I liked, but no blogs at all by guys under 20 who read YA or something, like the majority of girl-blogs I follow! (Okay. I like A French Girl On The Road! It puts imagery in the mind.)

  8. And yeah I doubt Wolverine's popularity will ever waver. He's just that well rounded of a character.
